A Numerical Investigation to Calculate Ultimate Limit State Capacity of Cable Bolts Subjected to Impact Loading

As rock bursts are unavoidable in deep mines and excavations with high in-situ stresses, ground support systems implemented to manage mitigate bursts. Cable bolts commonly used as reinforcing elements systems, which subject dynamic loads burst-prone excavations. To design an efficient cable bolt conditions, shear energy absorption capacity must be considered. Numerical modelling is advantageous method of repeatable testing it inexpensive non-destructive. This study develops a statically dynamically loaded numerical model double test ABAQUS/Explicit. A total 36 static 576 tests carried out, examine the influence diameter, steel yield ultimate strength, load velocity mass on displacement, force bolts. diameter strength increases, maximum resisted displacement increases.
